If you are part of the gaming community on the web, you will surely have noticed on social networks that pc gamers and console gamers were at war with each other. But why?
The reasons for this debate
This debate is nothing new, but it has clearly increased because of the visibility offered by social networks. Everyone can now expose their opinion to the whole world with a few taps on a keyboard, so why deprive themselves?
In this debate, we, therefore, find two camps:
console gamers,
pc gamers
Both proudly defend their preferences for their favorite support and have many arguments and this often gives rise to heated debates on the web.
What arguments?
Both camps highlight the many advantages that their favorite support brings, the most recurrent being:
For console players:
the accessibility of the support, no need for special knowledge to have to use it,
the price, often much more affordable than for a so-called “gaming” PC,
release exclusives.
For PC gamers:
the performance of the support, often much higher when you pay the price,
the adaptability of the support, once the PC has been acquired, there is no longer any need to buy one every two years, all you have to do is change a component to be up to date,
the ability to “moderate” many games,
the versatility of the support, not being used only for playing.
Which camp to choose?
Why choose? Players often forget that each of these media meets different expectations and ultimately does not have the same uses.
A person who does not wish to invest large sums of money to be able to have fun with video games will prefer a console, the latter being more accessible to the general public in terms of price and ease of use.
While a person looking for a more versatile tool and offering greater performance, at the expense of the increased price, will prefer to choose a PC, the latter not being used only to play.
Why go to war?
That's true, why? Isn't the gaming community one big family? Aren't we playing the same games? We all have a common passion: video games. And this, regardless of the medium. More beautiful, less beautiful, more expensive, less expensive, in the end, what does it matter? Let some have fun on console and others on PC, we must not forget that this is a hobby and that everyone's expectations are different.
In short, make love, not war.
