Work completed on Sandhill Side Trail to the Dobson Trail, .8 km ! A healthy crew of 4, we trimmed branches, cleared out the water bars ,and trenches. Water bars are installed to divert the water away from the trail . We maintain the trail according to the Appalachian Trail Maintenance manual. Lots of ideas on erosion control and trail hardening . Total time 11:00 am to 2:00 pm., 3 hours .

A hearthy and good humour  crew of 5 recovered the 1 km section on the select cut on the Catamount Trail Smiley . Then we split up in 2 groups, one group towards the trail entrance from Adairs Lodge, to meet the other group halfway. The branches overhanging on the trail were pruned. The section of the Catamount Trail between Adairs and the Shepody Road will no doubt be ready for the upcoming snowshoe season . This section is doable in all seasons and quite popular for those wishing to have a short jaunt. Thanks to our volunteers !
